Golf handicap in Sweden: how it works and where you rank
Sweden is one of the most golf-dense countries in the world, and almost every club golfer knows their number. Since 2020 Sweden uses the World Handicap System (WHS), administered by the Swedish Golf Federation, and your official Handicap Index lives in Min Golf.
Use the EARND levels calculator to see where your index places you — the percentages are estimates based on public WHS handicap distributions, not official Swedish figures.
The plan
- 01
Find your Handicap Index
Log in to Min Golf (or the Min Golf app). Your current Handicap Index is shown on your start page, calculated from your best 8 of your latest 20 rounds.
- 02
Know your Golf-ID
Your Golf-ID (birth date plus a three-digit number) identifies you in the Swedish system. You use it when you verify with EARND — it is kept private and never shown publicly.
- 03
Post every round
Under WHS your index only moves when you register scores. Register qualifying rounds in Min Golf straight after you play.
- 04
Pick your next milestone
SUB 20, SUB 10, SUB 5 or SCRATCH. Each one is a real step for a Swedish club golfer — and each unlocks its own EARND polo.
- 05
Verify and unlock
Submit your Golf-ID, home club and a screenshot from Min Golf. EARND reviews it manually before your level is unlocked.
Common questions
- What is a good golf handicap in Sweden?
- Most Swedish club golfers play to a handicap well above 20. Getting under 20 is a real milestone, and a single-digit handicap puts you among the stronger players at most clubs.
- Does Sweden use the World Handicap System?
- Yes. Sweden moved to WHS in 2020, and your Handicap Index is managed through Min Golf by the Swedish Golf Federation.
- Is EARND connected to the Swedish Golf Federation?
- No. EARND is an independent brand. We review your handicap evidence manually; we are not affiliated with any golf federation.
